    Please contact the Columbia County Sheriff's dispatch
    center @ 608-742-4166 prior to burning - failure to do so
    may result in an alarm call to the Fire Department - for
    which you will be charged, if the Fire Department responds.

    Burning Permits are required for any burning except
    campfires and cooking fires.  

    Permits may be obtained at not cost by contacting one of
    the Firewardens.
